This global manufacturing company was acquiring a competitor with the aim to strengthen its global market position by adding competences, products and services to its own portfolio. ICT and in particular software development were seen as strategic assets of the target company. Burnt Oak Partners was asked to lead the IT work-stream in the DD project and report the results to the Steerco. Our DD report contained findings regarding the overall maturity of the ICT organization, area’s for improvement, status of key applications, tools and methods, compliance (incl. software licenses), security and quality, vulnerabilities and risks. During a 2nd phase special attention was given to ICT related post-merger synergies. Burnt Oak’s main value-add for this client was our experience in conducting ICT DD projects, our methodology, business orientation and international approach.
