Svante Hedin is a senior financial markets and technology executive with more than 25 years of experience building, scaling and modernising technology-driven businesses at international scale. With roots in engineering, he is fully “bilingual” across commercial leadership and enterprise technology, having led global market franchises while also operating at C-level in enterprise technology and strategy.
He most recently served as Group CIO at SEB, with responsibility for group-wide technology strategy including AI oversight, data governance and strategic transformation. Prior to this, he led SEB’s Fixed Income, FX & Commodities business and held senior roles including Co-Head of Trading and Head of Electronic Markets, with responsibility for global trading and client franchise development.
Earlier in his career at J.P. Morgan in London, Svante was Managing Director and Global Head of eFX Trading, playing a central role in scaling the firm’s electronic FX platform into a market-leading global franchise.
He currently serves as CEO of a fintech trading firm, focusing on technology-driven execution and next-generation market infrastructure.
Svante brings extensive board-level and executive experience in digital transformation, platform modernisation, governance and organisational change, with skills that translate across sectors undergoing technology-driven disruption. He has also contributed to global market standards through his work with central banks.
Svante holds an MSc in Engineering from Linköping University.
