Jan has been working as a senior consultant and engagement lead in the IT industry for over 20 years. From 1998, he accomplished a large number of international assignments at Atos and operated on an expat basis in Germany and Sweden.
Since 2006 he worked for Atos’ Strategic Sales unit as VP strategic sales. In this role he had the lead in a large number of global IT Outsourcing deals covering a wide range of market sectors.
Before joining the IT industry Jan ran his own company specializing in Industrial Automation and robotics and worked a number of years for Andersen Consulting as senior. consultant and manager in the Benelux manufacturing sector.
In 2014 he established his own sourcing advisory company and by mid 2015 he joined Burnt Oak Benelux as a partner.
During his career Jan developed a clear view on what makes a successful outsourcing engagement. Defining clear and measurable objectives, creating the right balance between the client’s and the supplier’s interests, selecting a supplier with the right mindset, and building trust, are a few of the key success factors for a long lasting relationship.
His professional knowledge, business background and international experience make Jan a valuable asset for Burnt Oak and its clients.
Jan holds an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands.
