Herman started his career with IBM and brings over 25 years of experience in the ICT arena.
He has particular experience in acquiring and managing large businesses in several
geographies. Herman held a number of international senior management positions, at Atos,
HP, CSC (now called DXC after the merger with HP) and CGI. These positions included: Vice
President North America (Atos), Managing Director Outsourcing Services Scandinavia,
Benelux, Austria and Switzerland (HP). Herman was a member of the Dutch Management
Board of HP, DXC and CGI. From 2014 till 2021 he worked for Xerox as General Manager for
Xerox Netherlands. In Xerox Herman turned a year over year revenue decline into a revenue
growth and led a large business transformation program to make the organization more
simple and effective. As a result of large outsourcing agreements Herman integrated several
organizations into the wider mother organization. Such as for example: AkzoNobel
Information Services (1000 people into Atos), the IT organization of the Bank of Ireland (700
people into HP) and the merger of EDS Netherlands into HP Netherlands Outsourcing
Services.
Herman is born in the Netherlands and married with 3 Children. He holds a master degree in
civil engineering from the University of Technology in Delft. In 2016 he completed the
Supervisory Board program at the Nyenrode Business University. Recently he concluded a
study ‘Strategy Execution’ at Harvard Business School and a study ‘Leading Digital
Transformation in Healthcare’ at Harvard Medical School. He enjoys several sports,
especially golfing, sailing and skiing.
