Before initiating Burnt Oak Partners Benelux, Peter Overakker was for six years Vice President General Western Europe at HP Enterprise Services (Benelux, Scandinavia, the Baltic states, Austria and Switzerland). As the leader of this region with around 5,000 employees, Peter had the end-responsibility for a large number of enterprise clients.
Peter entered the IT industry in 1980. His career led him to various high profile, international positions with leading IT Services companies.
At the moment of EDS’s acquisition by HP in 2008, Overakker was Vice President EMEA North and Managing Director for EDS Netherlands. In 2006 he had rejoined that company after having had leading positions in Sales and Business Development within EDS from 1985 to 1992.
From 1998, Peter held the position of Executive Vice President, Sales and Client Management at Atos Origin Netherlands. In this role, he was also member of the Regional Board Benelux and Nordic.
Before that, he was for two years Director Outsourcing and Consulting Services at Getronics.
In 1992, Peter was in the board of Philips C&P services, as director Sales and Marketing. In that role, he was also Co-Director Far East Operations and Nordic Countries. After Philips divested its IT-activities into Origin International, Overakker became Managing Director, responsible for the global accounts.
He started his career at Control Data Corporation Netherlands.
Peter is specialized in leading complex outsourcing deals and as Executive Sponsor for many clients for being the trusted advisor of the CXO’s.
He is very competitive, an excellent team-player and good coach.
Peter Overakker holds an MSc degree in Mathematics from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands, and successfully completed the ‘Supervisory Board’ programme at the Nijenrode business university in 2015.
